Everything we saw at the Big Resident Evil show

Today, Capcom held another digital showcase dedicated to all things Resident Evil. Previously, the publisher did something similar back in June and before that in April 2021. As in those cases, Capcom used the event to show off new trailers and footage from upcoming games Resident Evil projects such as Resident Evil 4remake.

Here’s everything Capcom announced and showed off during today’s event, which it was about 30 minutes long. You can also watch the full presentation below.

New Winters’ expansion trailer

Capcom kicked off the show with a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil Village A DLC expansion that includes a new story campaign starring Ethan’s daughter Rose. The developers also shared more information about Rose and why they decided to make her a star Villagenew story expansion.

Winter expansion—which can be purchased separately or as part of a larger one Resident Evil Village Gold Edition pack – also includes a new third-person mode for the main campaign and new content for the game’s action mode Mercenaries, which even lets you play as Lady Dimitrescu herself. (Although now it will be shorterin one of the biggest disappointments of 2022.)

All of this releases on October 28, 2022 for all major platforms.

Multiplayer shooter Resident Evil Re:Verse It’s still coming out later this month

Even though I don’t really enjoy playing, an online shooter Resident Evil Re:Verse it still comes out on October 28th. It will be free for all owners Resident Evil Villageand or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. Capcom announced that it will fully support crossplay and showed off a new game with locations and characters Village.

Capcom says it plans to update the game several times, including showing off the roada map of new content coming to the game after launch. It will also have an early access period starting October 24 for everyone Village owners.

Resident Evil Village Coming to Mac, past games are getting cloud versions of Nintendo Switch

Capcom also announced the release date of the new cloud versions Resident Evil Village, RE7, RE2 Remake, and RE3 remake coming to Nintendo Switch. It has already announced this these ports were at work, but now we know when we can play them.

All games will have demos so people can check how well they stream their internet connection. RE2‘s cloud version is released on November 11 this year. Then, RE3 hits November 18 and finally RE7 lands on December 16, 2022.

Resident Evil Village It’s also coming to Mac on October 28th with Winters’ Expansion DLC coming later, unannounced.

New gameplay Resident Evil 4 Remake, Start of pre-orders

Capcom previously promised more gameplay footage from the upcoming remake, and indeed delivered during the event. In the footage, we see what appears to be a reworked version of the intro RE4including the iconic village sequence and that great moment when Leon jumps out the window like an action star. Even the scary man with the chainsaw showed up to ruin Leon’s day. Yeah, I will buy this game again.

Capcom also released a tag-a new cinematic trailer featuring Ada, Ashley and other scenes from iconic moments in the game, such as the fight by the lake.

You can pre-order now Resident Evil 4 remake on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC starting today, with different versions coming with different goodies. In a very nice move, Capcom says that people who buy the game on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. This new remake is released on March 24, 2023.
