Last chance salon: What each WC team needs in the final group match to achieve elimination

All 32 nations at the World Cup played two of the three group stage matches. Only three nations – reigning champions France, favorites Brazil and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal – won both of their matches to secure a place in the round of 16.

Meanwhile, two nations – hosts Qatar and underdogs Canada – have no chance of making it to the knockout stages, having both lost their opening two matches.

That means there’s plenty to play for in the final table of group stage matches, with 27 other countries still up for qualification!

Here’s what each team needs in their final group stage matches.
