They are also expected to bring three-year-old Archie and almost one Lilibet to the thrilling – and highly public – family reunion.

The children are likely to finally meet their little cousin, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Lilibet was never introduced to her royal relatives, while Archie had not been in the United Kingdom since she was six months old.
But there is no invitation for the embarrassed Duke of York, not even in private office, which shows how far the Queen’s son has fallen out of grace.
The Queen’s Birthday Parade at Horse Guards in London is the first official platinum jubilee event of the weekend on public holidays and the most visited Windsors.
Many thought that Her Majesty’s performance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the traditional parade would be the most anticipated moment of the day.
But it is likely that all eyes will actually be on the family reunion, which takes place 50 yards down the road.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were invited by the Queen to join family members watching a spectacular military event from the Major General’s office overlooking the Whitehall Parade.
The room – once used by the Duke of Wellington – extends above the entrance to the Horse Guards.
From there, dignitaries traditionally watch to see if they are involved in the procession.
The group will not include the Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge or Princess Royal.
Her Majesty will remain at Buckingham Palace, where she will greet the returning cavalry from the balcony there.

Charles greets as soon as the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guard is the army and inspects the troops of the Household Division on behalf of the monarch.
His older son and sister, all three on horseback, join him.
The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess of Cambridge, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and many other members of the royal family will go to the Horse Guards Parade from the palace in carriages.
They would then disembark and watch the rest of the event from the Major General’s office alongside Harry and Meghan, who would arrive by car.
Not all the Queen’s grandchildren and their husbands will be present at the great royal parties.

In addition to the Sussex, there will be Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo, Princess Eugenie and the children of her husband Jack and Anna, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall and their families.
Meghan has not seen anyone in the family since she and her husband resolutely resigned as working members of the royal family and moved to North America in early 2020, while the prince saw them only briefly at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral last year.
The last public occasion that the Sussex people attended together in the United Kingdom was the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in March 2020, when the atmosphere could not have been more embarrassing.

William and Kate practically erased Harry and Meghan that day, leaving Prince Edward and Sophia to try to keep the peace.
Fortunately, William, who was most affected by his brother’s actions and tried to hide his injuries, will not be forced to greet the couple in public.
And Kate proved to be an admirable peacemaker when, after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, she decided to break the ice and talk to Harry.
Harry and Meghan live with their children in their Windsor house, Frogmore Cottage.
They were always expected to join the Congregation for Thanksgiving during the Queen’s 70-year reign in St. Paul’s Cathedral, but their participation with Trooping is considered another olive branch by Her Majesty.
