United Kingdom all ready for Queen Elizabeth ‘s Platinum Jubilee CBC News

The UK will commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s 70th anniversary this week with four days of celebrations – from military parades and services to a street party and pop concert in front of Buckingham Palace.

Elizabeth (96) has been on the throne since she was 25, a ubiquitous figure in the United Kingdom and one of the most famous faces in the world.

Here’s a look at the decorations, royal fans and special events ahead of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which begin on Thursday.

In front of Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus
